Relax . Restore . Rebalance
What Is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a simple and safe therapy based on the principle that there are reflex areas on the feet (as well as hands, face and ears) that correspond to all organs, glands and the systems of the body. A pressure technique using thumb and fingers is used to on these reflex areas, to stimulate and aid the body back into its natural state of balance called Homeostasis.
Background - Ancient Meets Modern
Reflexology has a long history. It was recognised by civilizations dating back as far as China
5000 years ago. Foot reflexology has an even longer history, with ancient tomb paintings
depicting reflexology found in Egypt dated from 2330 BC.
The Ingham Method is considered to be the reflexology of modern times and is most widely practiced today, although there are many recognised methods and styles in use.

How Reflexology Works
A recognised science, reflexology works by clearing congestion in the body that may show up as tender spots on the related reflex area. The reflex area is worked to unblock nerve pathways, improve circulation and re-establish energy flow, assisting body back into balance. In fact there are 7,000 nerve endings on each foot which connect to all areas of the body.
